This beautiful villa is perfect for small family groups seeking a quiet, relaxing holiday. It has a commanding view over Gennadi Bay and gets sunshine all day from sunrise to sunset. The villa is on a large 1000sq.m private site and has extensive out door living space with a large pergola. We love sitting on the patio either enjoying a greek salad while looking out to sea, having a barbecue or later in the day enjoying a cocktail as we watch the sun going down over the mountain behind us. The wide open space gives you a real sense of being away from everything. There is also quite a bit of wildlife to observe including buzzards, bee eaters, lizards and the occasional deer. We love to watch the swallows dipping into our pool during the day and bats doing the same at night!
On the ground floor patio doors open out on to the pergola, which itself opens on to the swimming pool with its sun loungers. There is a private upstairs sun terrace, which is not overlooked, if you want an all over tan! Air-conditioning in every room keeps the rooms cool at night.
Downstairs there is a well equipped kitchen, dining room, shower room and living room. The villa has a high speed internet connection and comes equipped with Satellite TV, DVD, PlayStation 2 and a stereo. Upstairs are the bedrooms and main bathroom with patio doors opening on to the large sun terrace.
Further details
Being just outside the village, the site is serene and quiet, situated well off the main road. It is best to have a hire car, since the villa is about a mile from the village centre (2 minute drive) and the beach, and although it can be walked in 25 minutes, it is not an easy walk in the heat of Summer.
As it is a large gated site and having a surrounding wall and fence, the site is very suitable for children. But we would advise caution that small children and non-swimmers should be carefully supervised around the pool. There is level access downstairs to the patio and swimming pool. The living room with its sofa bed, kitchen, dining room all have level access direct from the pergola via the patio doors. The downstairs shower/wc is down two steps. No smoking is allowed inside the villa and pets are not allowed.

What's special about the villa is the size of the plot it stands on, its wide open space and uninterrupted views. I like to get up in the morning and have coffee by the pool while watching the sun rising over the bay.
In the evening there is a lovely golden hour, when the sun sets behind the hills, and at night there is a stunning view of the heavens, stars, planets and the milky way - I have never seen so many stars! If you know where to look you can see the moons of Jupiter and the Andromeda Galaxy through binoculars.
Being half a kilometre from the main road, it is very quiet, and you will only be interrupted by the local goats wandering past. It is a lovely place for a family to relax and get away from it all, but there's plenty of facilities just a two minute drive away in the village.
The villa site is very large - having approx 1000 sq.m of its own private grounds and gardens, which means that you can easily enjoy its seclusion up on the hillside overlooking Gennadi Bay. It's not overlooked by any other development, other than it is part of a group of four villas.
There is an upstairs sun lounge which is entirely private and gets great sun all day long. Because the site has a south-westerly aspect the pool and grounds get sunshine all day, from sunrise to sunset.
Externally a wooden table and six padded chairs sit under the shaded pergola, and by the pool six sun loungers, and two parasols are provided. The private pool is 4m x 8m and is 1.4 m deep, being situated on a large tiled patio area in front of the villa. A permanent barbecue stands next to the patio with easy access to the kitchen. We love to barbecue in the evening as the sun goes down behind the mountain behind the villa.
The gardens are well stocked with flowers, cacti and citrus trees. You may be able to pick a lemon to have in your gin and tonic! The rear of the villa has loads of room to park your car or cars within the site, just by the patio to unload your luggage.
