Beautiful, ground floor apartment suitable for both holiday or business trips. Convenient location - only 5mins walk from York racecourse and 15-20min walk to the train station & York centre (or 5mins in a taxi) - there is also a bus stop right outside the apartment with buses every 10/15mins

This apartment is a perfect base for your holiday/trip, with a beautiful inglenook fireplace, high ceilings and original wooden flooring in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with 4-ringed hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine & dish washer - as well as kettle, toaster & microwave.

The apartment has two bathrooms (one ensuite) which means you can have your very own his and her bathrooms! And it benefits from a separate dressing room with two large full length mirrors - every women's dream...... there is also a hairdryer provided so no need to bring. For those wanting to bring a child with them I would be happy to provide a blow up bed & bedding- I also have a travel cot and high chair if needed - you ask.

The apartment has its own patio area with table & chairs for an al fresco drink before heading for your night, and being one of only 6 apartments within the original hotel building it is a perfect quiet location. It also benefits from free allocated parking so no need to worry about queuing and paying high York centre rates.(Ground floor access means it could be a perfect option for elderly &/or disabled access-call me for more details)

We are happy to accept well behaved dogs - please advise when booking. For walkers the apartment is perfectly placed to head out to the Yorkshire Dales, and across the road you have the York racecourse & Knavesmire wood for a local stroll or to stretch your dogs legs. There is also bike hooks outside the apartment for any keen cyclists to securely lock your bikes

There are two lovely pubs in walking distance, as well as a CoOp & post office, and if you need to do a bigger shop Tesco is 5mins drive away!

If you are a keen runner then there is a Park Run just across the road - its a 5km around the racecourse..... everyone meets at 9am so if you head over the road at 8.45am you will see everyone heading for the start. There is also a free running club that meets nearby at 6.30pm on a Monday and 7pm on a Thursday

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Alison (the owner) a message.

If Alison (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
