SUMMER WEEKS STILL AVAILABLE Butterfly Rest is a lovely little bungalow backing onto dense woodland, situated in a peaceful little corner of St Ives Holiday Village. It has undergone a full internal refurbished ( knocked back to a bare shell and rebuilt ) and now offers a beach hut themed interior.
The bungalow comprises of a bedroom with a double bed and a bedroom with twin beds which can be pushed flush together to form a make shift double if you wish and all beds have lovely memory foam mattresses.
The twin beds have also been purposely handmade so they can be stacked up on top of each other, which then leaves extra room in the bedroom for a travel cot and all the extra paraphernalia that young children need. This is a very favourable option for guests with a small child who don’t need the beds but appreciate the extra space and has worked out great in the past.
The bathroom comprises of a toilet, hand basin, heated towel rail and compact bath bath with a shower over, so guests have the option of which they prefer. The bath is also very favourable with guests with small children who’s evening bathtime is part of their bedtime routine.
The lounge area has a comfortable large sofa / chaise longue ( no fighting over this seat please...). Which is great to stretch out on under one of the cosy throws and relax .
There is a fully fitted open plan kitchen dining area with all the cooking utensils etc you are likely to need.
Tvs - There is a wall hung TV in the living area and also one in the twin bedroom ( very popular with children ), and both have integrated DVD players.
Heating comprises of - underfloor heating in the bedrooms, a heated towel rail in the bathroom, a log effect electric stove in the living area and a plinth heater in the kitchen area ... There is no need for guests not to be toasty warm whatever the time of the year.
All electric is included in the booking price...
Although Butterfly is a lovely little bungalow, I believe it’s location is what many of my guests return for. It is set in a lovely peaceful corner backing onto nothing but dense woodland and the view from the bedrooms is beautiful. ( one of my past guests claim to have seen a mummy and baby deer right outside the bedroom early one morning ). The front of Butterfly has a pebbled patio area which gets the evening sun so is perfect for an evening glass of wine and a barbecue.
Butterfly is set in a peaceful quiet area of St Ives Holiday Village. The onsite facilities can be used by the guests, and family passes can be collected from reception ( approx £12 for a 3 night family pass and £24 for a 7 night and this is for all of you not per person ).. The facilities are currently open from late March until late October... The woodland areas can be accessed by all year round and are free of charge.
The drive into St Ives itself takes about 10 minutes, and during high season the local service bus calls into the park hourly if you wish to leave the car at home. A taxi for 4 people is less than a tenner ( please ask me for the taxi name ) and the park and ride railway is a couple of minutes drive away and the view from the train that hugs the coast into st ives is absolutely stunning.
I have many guests who regularly return to Butterfly , and I am personally responsible for the day to day running of everything and my standards are high...
I’m sure you won’t be disappointed, just give it a try. — Tina xx
