The Isle of Arran is often referred to as “Scotland in Miniature” as nearly every kind of scenery you see in Scotland can be seen on the Island. It is a paradise for walkers and nature lovers with golden eagles, otters, red squirrels and red deer amongst the wildlife on the island. There are 7 golf courses on the island. Arran, through “Taste of Arran”, has gained a reputation for fine food and a number of Hotels on the island have won national awards.

Brodick is the main Ferry Port, 55 minutes sail from Ardrossan on the Ayrshire Coast. On arriving in Brodick there are buses that depart the ferry terminal to the whole Island. Brodick has a number of shops, cafes and restaurants all within walking distance. The Brodick Bar, The Wine Port, Fiddlers, Little Rock and Janie's Tearoom are all recommended. The Douglas Hotel and Auchrannie spa Resort are also nearby.

There are gift and craft shops in the village and the Duchess's Court Yard at Cladach is the home of Arran Aromatics and the Cheese shop.

Brodick is also where you will find Brodick Castle and its magnificent grounds once the Island home to the Duke of Montrose. The Bay and Village are dominated by Goat Fell the highest mountain on the Island.
