The house stands on a stunning location of grove of trees and bougainvillea and frangipani on a coral headland jutting out into the Indian Ocean. Beaches stretch out on either side. It has been a family house for 45 years. It is a combination of old style Swahili house with makooti roofing and Arab influence.

The accommodation is on two levels. It includes 5 double bedrooms, 3 (downstairs) with air conditioning, two upstairs with overhead fans. 3 showers, 1 bath, 4 toilets, sitting room and extensive verandas. There are mosquito nets in all the bedrooms, and a further shower, and foot bath, in the garden.

The 3 members of staff, a cook, laundry staff, gardener.The beach below the house is in the KWS Marine Park. The extensive coral reef can be visited, at low tide, in glass bottomed boats that sail from Casurina Point – a short walk down the beach.

There is easy access to Tsavo National Game Reserve by road from the house.

Malindi Township is an interesting mixture of Arab, Swahili and Colonial architecture. It is a busy thriving little town with much to offer in the way of shops, restaurants whose diversity of culinary styles reflect the very cosmopolitan nature of its residents. It radiates out from the old square on one side of which lies Malindi beach and the sea. This beach runs for about 14 km, where the body boarding and surfing can be excellent.
