Tucked away in the heart of Enid Blyton country is a charming two-bedroom cottage with lots of living space, a rolling garden and uninterrupted views over the majestic ruins of Corfe Castle and the Purbeck Hills. Furnished with a quirky eye and an emphasis on comfort, there is nowhere better to kick off your muddy walking boots after a pint in the pub next door, while watching your contented dog doze in front one of the two roaring fires.

Our cottage dates back to the early 1800s and offers:

Two double bedrooms with feather duvets and down pillows

Cosy sitting room with large fireplace

Dining room and reading room with fireplace

Large eat-in conservatory

Newly refurbished bathroom with slate floor, heated towel rail, rain shower and bath

Kitchen with oil fired rayburn, double electric oven, large fridge freezer, washing machine and small eating area (4 stools)

Tumble dryer

Large garden with decked terrace from where you get a breathtaking view across Corfe Common to Corfe Castle

NB Our cottage is also listed on Airbnb where it's cheaper as they don't charge you a fee.

Please note:

* The second bedroom has a steep staircase as can be seen in the photo of the dining room/reading room (there is a child gate installed at the top)

* Although the road passing the front of the cottage is a back road through a quiet village, it is the only access to the stone quarries at Worth Matravers and surrounding farmland, so there is some associated traffic.
