Old Assembly Close is a luxurious 3-bedroom flat. Located in the Old Town and facing directly onto the Royal Mile, Edinburgh’s most renowned street, it is the perfect location for holidays and short breaks in Edinburgh. Most of Edinburgh's key attractions are just a few minutes walk away and when it comes to the ideal space for people watching and absorbing Edinburgh's street cabaret there are few better locations!

The property is a very short walk from Edinburgh Castle, Waverley Station, Camera Obscura, the National Galleries of Scotland, The Scotch Whisky Experience, and other key attractions. The New Town and Harvey Nichols are close, and Hollyrood Palace, Arthur’s Seat, the Scottish Parliament and National Museum of Scotland are within easy reach.

Old Assembly Close is an elegant, historic Georgian property. Accommodation includes two bedrooms with king-size beds, one double bedroom and two bathrooms. The sitting room has large windows looking on the Royal Mile below. There is a recently-refitted, well-equipped kitchen and free Wifi. There is a large HD flat-screen digital television for kicking back after a busy day of sightseeing.

The flat is an easy walk from Waverly Station - Edinburgh's mainline station. This is also where buses from the airport stop when arriving in Edinburgh.

The flat is up two flights of stairs. This property may not be suitable for those who struggle with stairs. Due to the excellent city centre location some noise may be expected – particularly at weekends.

Thank you for your review. We are delighted you had a good stay! The apartment really is in a fantastic location. We completely take your point about the stairs but these are pretty wide for this historic part of town – and we managed to get a bath, sofa and fridge freezer up them so hopefully anybody in reasonable health should manage bags if they take it slowly.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you found the bedrooms and bathrooms comfortable and liked the kitchen. There is the usual noise you would expect in a city centre but this is in line with the great location. There are only two flights of stairs up to the apartment so I am a little puzzled by the comment about 4 flights of stairs. They are winding but this is in keeping with this historic part of town and actually wider than a lot of properties in this area. However I would like to take issue with the comments about slow responses and lack of information. Looking through our back correspondence I can see that we answered your many emails at times including 7.17pm, 11.02pm, 11.33pm and 7.19am as well as during office hours. We also provided an extensive information document by email in advance of your stay, which you just may not have had time to read. The television for the apartment is very simple but we have manuals for the TV in the flat which we directed you towards when requested, and forwarded a manual for the washing machine when requested. Following the correspondence during your stay we do wonder if your party might have been better suited to a hotel with a 24-hour concierge and service staff. Either that or you have made these comments as you were annoyed as unfortunately on this occasion we could not grant your request for a very early check-in.
