Luxury Glamping Pods set in a quiet semi-rural location on the edge of the village of Lybster in Caithness right on the NC500 route with stunning mountain views, glorious sea views across to the Moray Coast, sunsets and sunrises. The pods are equipped with all you will need including TV's, en-suite facilities, kitchenettes and underfloor heating making Glamping an all year round option.

North Star Glamping is in a perfect location to explore the North East segment of the NC500 route, providing you an ideal base to explore the wonderful county of Caithness with its big skies and open spaces. Whether you’re doing the NC500, JOGLE or other adventure, or just require a relaxing break in this beautiful part of the country you can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome.

Lybster has a Convenience Store, Post Office, Hotel, Pubs, 9 Hole Golf Course, Bowling Club, Small Garden Centre, Hairdresser, Country Spa & Beauty Salon and also a Harbour-side Café with Heritage Centre which is open over the summer months.

Caithness is a county of wide vaulted skies, rolling moorland and dramatic seascapes. It has historical monuments to visit and warm and welcoming people, it has a beauty which simply inspires, you will find an underpopulated, unspoiled ancient landscape, varied bird and animal life, uncommon and rare plants, and a rich cultural heritage.

Also, anyone walking the John O’Groat Trail or on their JOGLE adventure that requires a pickup or drop off at their start/finish points for the day please contact us and we will do our very best to accommodate your requirements.

A great relaxing break, the pod was very clean, with all the amenities, plus others. The owner Maggie did more than enough to make our stay fantastic. Peaceful scenic and relaxing - many thanks

What a fabulous find this was.

We stayed just one night on our NC500 trip. So glad we did as both location and the pod were superb. Maggie was so helpful and friendly and we had everything we could have wished for .

Perfect Hobbit house!
