Balranald cottage is a former 'Black House' which was originally built around 1885. It has since been converted into a modern property which is a perfect base for visitors to explore the Outer Hebrides.

Within the RSPB's nature reserve, our guests often comment on the wide variety of wildlife from the cottage windows! Corncrake, Short Eared Owls, Hen Harriers, Kestrels and Golden Eagles have all been seen!

Wonderful stay...

The cottage was amazing, very spacious, well kept and equipped. It's location was great, so close to local shop, pub and beach. Very dog friendly too.
