We actually stayed in Kingfisher Lodge which was absolutely perfect. The Lodge was beautiful and we throughly enjoyed our stay. Pewsey wasn't too far so we could pop to the local Co-op for our groceries etc. Lovely canal walks and shopping trips to Devizes and Marlborough (We brought some local black pudding and bacon in the inside market which was fab!) We would definitley go back to Willowbank Lodges again.

We stayed in Heron's Nest for three nights in March. The lodge is one of five in a quiet, secluded location but close to the amenities provided in nearby Pewsey. The lodge is tastefully decorated and was spotless. Everything you could wish for is provided and during the chilly weather was lovely and warm. The lodge is well situated for visiting Stonehenge, Salisbury and Avebury. (We didn't visit as are familiar with this area.) We enjoyed a couple of local walks without the need to move the car. We wouldn't hesitate to return to Heron's nest. The only downside I can think of is that we didn't see a kingfisher!

Cabin was fully kitted out and furnished to a high standard. Location was great as felt like you were in the middle of nowhere however all the amenities you needed in a few minutes drive. Several pubs and nice places to eat out within a short drive. Loads of chances for walking, however the weather was slightly too cold when we went and canal was very muddy due to the sheer amount of rain. Beautiful countryside and very amenable host. Good value for money.

My Partner and I stayed here from the 29th March to the following Monday. I took this booking from a friend as she was unable to make it. The owner was very lovely and greed to let me and my partner take her place just 1 day before the planned stay. The owner Nicky lives across the road which is handy because we arrived around 8pm and as soon as we got there we locked ourselves out! But Nicky was on hand to let us in. The place is so peaceful and has beautiful surroundings, it has a massive pond/lake with ducks and swans. The lodge was like a little home and the first thing I remember is the smell of wood. The lodge was very cosy and homely with a spacious living room with a wood effect electric fire, the kitchen had everything you needed. We made a Lamb Shank dinner and Lasagne. The bedroom was a large double bedroom with the comfiest bed ever! Lots of storage to unpack your bits and a large bathroom attached to the bedroom. we didn’t really leave only to go into the town where we bought meat from the local butchers for tea and to go to a pub recommended by Nicky called the The French Horn where the food and service was fabulous. I definitely would come back, my review doesn’t do our experience there justice. Thanks for having us. Nic and Tom x

My husband booked a surprise birthday stay in Heron's Nest and it was wonderful! A romantic, cosy cabin sited right next to a stream that leads to the lake. Sited perfectly for trips to Devizes, Caen Locks and Avebury if you fancy a day out or plenty of walks along the canals and through the fields, we brought our dog along for the trip and he had a wonderful time and was shattered after walks along the canals each afternoon. Nicky is just lovely and has decorated the cabins beautifully and we had everything we could need. And she had kindly posted back my left behind items before I even realised they were missing! We will definitely be visiting Willowbank Lodges again, whether it be just the two of us or with friends in the larger cabins. It was such a lovely break! Thank you Nicky!
