PLEASE NOTE THIS REVIEW IS NOT APPLICABLE TO OURSELVES AND WAS BOOKED ON ANOTHER WEBSITE. PLEASE REMOVE! We do however have a villa on Esprit Site – and so in case potential guests are concerned that this review applies to ourselves, then we feel we must nevertheless comment. The weather for the week ending 24th March was mostly cloudy, wet and cold, and if guests are confined by the weather, then it is no doubt quite easy to blame the villa, the agent, and the local businesses for the disappointment! We do not charge anything extra for the use of heating/cooling in the living room. (Not £14/day!) Few owners provide rugs as they trap dirt and debris - and they cannot be easily washed and cleaned in between guests. Marble tiles are typical in Cyprus villas. We can provide Duvets for Winter use. In respect of our villa, if guests are not happy and need something, then we always strongly encourage guests to report to our agent immediately, and to ourselves too if no satisfactory response. (In this case of course – to whoever you booked through). We have access to nearby maintenance services who can promptly fix any issues, such as the minor plumbing issues mentioned. However, we strongly recommend that bottled water is used for drinking water, and not from the tap!! This is a typical recommendation in Cyprus. We note that this review includes a review of a nearby villa… I can only think of one villa that is in a state of serious repair and neglect, but our villa has a lot of screening and adjacent villas are not visible from the living room. Most villas on the site are very well maintained, and some more recently too, after a few closed during the pandemic. At night, Cicadas are harmless, but sometimes noisy insects, often associated with Mediterranean holidays. This is typical of Cyprus too, and in practice is not an issue for sleeping guests. Some owners provide seating for 4, because I am guessing 6 can sometimes seem over furnished. However, if we were asked for extra seating, it would have been provided. We buy new BBQ’s each year, but even the most expensive ones rust very quickly after a season of use. If the BBQ was full of water, no doubt this was because it was outside in the rain!! Not sure why this was thought to be a useful observation in a review? Local businesses no doubt make every effort to provide a great service, but wish to remain viable too, and need to close out of season. My guess is that they will welcome most guests, especially if they look to be enjoying their holidays! We have rented out for 10+ years and most reviews are 5* as guests really enjoy, and some come back year after year! Thank you so much for this great review. Really helpful to know, as we have been unable to visit ourselves since covid, so relying entirely on our agent. It also helps us to feel more confident when offering to other guests for their holidays. We have another near identical villa 50m away if other guests would like to compare.
