We are well established luxury villa and are considered by many of our guests as a ‘home away from home’ but it is really more than this as we collect you from the airport and give you a personal tour of the villa and its facilities as we are the owners and live close by in Sanur. Our staff, husband and wife team, will also be there to meet and greet you as they will every morning of your stay and it will their responsibility to make your holiday as carefree as possible by cooking your breakfast, doing all your laundry, servicing the villa and if you want to do your own cooking they will do the washing up for you. To start your holiday we give you a welcome pack of food, fresh fruit and drinks. Show you the best place to change your money and even get you a SIM card for your mobile.
The Lazy Dog Villa is about 20 minutes from the airport via the new toll road as we are located at the south end of Sanur. The villa is comfortably set back off the main street in a complex, which consists of four privately owned villas with a 50 metre drive which leads onto the road where there are many restaurants within 50 metres with the beach being only 400 metres away. This small complex has a main entrance gate, which is manned 24 hours per day, and each villa is surrounded by a high wall. The private driveway provides ample room for parking whether it is a car, motorcycle or bicycle. The complete area of the villa is 420 square metres and consists of a very large open living area with the two main large bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. A further bedroom is located in a purpose built bungalow set slightly away from the main building. This whole area is covered by a WIFI system using fibre optic cable which gives a high speed internet connection.
The living area is Balinese style open area with a high ceiling over the lounge/ dinning section which has three ceiling fans, it is furnished with Balinese large furniture and has a 51inch LCD TV and DVD player. Over the kitchen section, which is very well equipped with a drinking water dispenser providing hot and chilled water, there is another ceiling fan. The position of villa means that there is no direct sun into this open area.
Each side of this living area are the two main bedrooms which are very similar with cathedral style ceilings, air conditioners as well as ceiling fans in bedrooms and bathrooms, king size Balinese style beds, luxurious large bathrooms with bathtub, spacious shower, with an outdoor shower in a small private garden and fitted wardrobes in a small dressing room. The bungalow bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom with shower only, air conditioner, ceiling fans and built in wardrobes, here there are two single beds but this can be changed for a queen-size bed. We also provide a baby cot and a Z type utility bed which can be used in any of the three bedrooms.
In the garden area, there are many flowering shrubs and even bananas trees with lawn areas for sunbathing on our sun beds or areas of shade and a 9-metre kidney shaped pool. Our pool is only two steps down from the living area and like most pools in Bali it has no fence, however if you have small children we can arrange for a pool fence to be fitted.
Our staff are local Balinese, being unobtrusive and discreet, speak and understand English very well. As they are local they can provide lots of local knowledge and help you arrange any tours. Their time at villa is in line with your requirements, but once they have done their allotted tasks they will go home. These tasks include cleaning, bedmaking, your laundry including the ironing, and cooking your breakfast as long as you provide the ingredients.
Twice per month to treat for mosquitoes, ants, etc., we have the villa and the grounds, mist blown which is the dispensing of a thin mist of environmentally and human friendly chemicals, not the normal guy wielding massive gun-shaped machinery, producing thick, deadly, smoky, diesel smelling and pungent gases of death to beneficial lizards and butterflies.
Bali is well known for its frequent power cuts and low water pressure, so to overcome this we have installed our own generator and extra water storage tank complete with high pressure pump. The generator is a completely automatic 'standalone' 'super-quiet' gas fired system which starts up in around 15 seconds of the mains power supply going off.
Sanur is small and most things are within walking distance. To travel further a-field then taxis are readily available at very reasonable prices.
Right opposite the entrance to our complex there is now an excellent supermarket where you can buy International or local products at economic prices.
